The Lonely Dragon is a children's book written by 8 year old Bruce Davis. His mother Tiana contacted me in summer of 2011 to illustrate it. The story was just way too cute to pass up. It's been a pleasure to work with an 8 year old as an art director. The project will be released in early 2012

One of the initial attempts at finding a design for the dragon
First attempt at dragon design. Bruce's criticism was that he didn't like the rosy cheeks and wanted him to have bigger wings.
